Statistics section is calculated for each of the users - currently the charts compare each user's statistics against the average of whole network:

Number on the left shows the user's friends, books read, etc. while the number on the right shows the average number of user's friends' numbers.

Please note: statistics are refreshed at every logon of the particular user, not when changes in data take place.
